What happened when we merged two leading kaolin clay companies, KaMin LLC and CADAM SA? We created one of the world's largest enterprises that is solely focused on kaolin clay, particularly fine and ultrafine kaolin.

KaMin and CADAM, Antwerp Belgium

The Antwerp location operates double as a logistics hub and a slurry production site for the EMEA and AP region. It has a large warehouse in use for the bulk products Hydragloss90, Amazon Plus, Amazon Premium and Hydraprint. These products are delivered to customers in all packaging options and in slurry form, thanks to the automated and specialized make down installation for Kaolin. In addition to that, there is a Bag Warehouse functioning as a safety stock location or pass through for most of the KaMin Portfolio products on the way to the customers. Shipping available for bulk, slurry, big bags and small bags in all intermodal ways per truck, rail, container, barge, coaster.

Southern Kaolin Company becomes Twiggs-Huber, Inc, marking the beginning of our kaolin business.
1968
Introduction of superconducting magnets allows for the processing of special glossing kaolins.
1969
Export services begin with the first shipment to paper makers in Japan. The Wrens plan opens with new innovative processing technology.
1973
KaMin is the first company to produce ultrafine, high brightness kaolin. Patents are issued for flagship product, Hydragloss®90.
2008
JM Huber Clay Division is renamed to KaMin LLC after IMin Partners purchases the company.
2014
KaMin LLC launches Lithosperse NextGen® product line to ink market.
2016
KaMin invests in acquisition of ultra fine kaolin business, affirming its commitment to the paper industry.
2022
KaMin acquires BASF Kaolin

Santa Virginia Mining is founded and later becomes CADAM S.A.
1975
A new beneficiation plant is built in Munguba to advance the processing of kaolin clay.
1993
CADAM’s Antwerp facility is established.
2012
KaMin LLC purchases majority ownership interest in CADAM S.A. from Vale. The addition of CADAM reserves makes our company a global leader in fine particle kaolin clay.
2015
CADAM® Gloss AG product line is launched.
2016
Amapá Connection Project has improved the efficiency of the CADAM operation and reduced CO2 emissions and overall carbon footprint.
2018
CADAM announced it's operation has completely connected to the Brazilian electrical grid. This will result in a more reliable source of energy that will substantially reduce the CO2 emissions and carbon footprint.
