Responsible Mining

Operating in a sustainable and responsible way is central to KaMin's vision to be the global leader in performance minerals that enable innovative product solutions for everyday life. At KaMin, we're committed to being good stewards of our resources, so whatever the task, we strive to leave behind a positive legacy.

Reclamation
When it comes to mining, KaMin begins with the end in mind. We're committed to leaving a light footprint with all our mining and processing operations. Going above and beyond the state mandated reclamation statutes, we do our best to improve upon the original conditions of our sites. Thorough research, planning, and management of each kaolin deposit allow our team to extract our kaolin reserves efficiently, minimizing the impact to local environments. Based on our record of consistent results and meticulous procedures, both the Georgia Mining Association and Georgia's Environmental Protection Division have recognized KaMin's value as a state-wide leader in reclamation excellence.

Environmental Stewardship
KaMin strives to minimize its environmental impact by establishing ways to mine and produce kaolin that benefit all of our stakeholders- our customers, communities, and the environment. For example, our patented DFA separation technique at Wrens reduces our raw materials waste during processing, allowing our plant engineers to maximize our use of natural resources. We hope to leverage all our assets in an effort to truly create value from the ground up.

A Leader in Safety

Recognized as an industry leader in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) best practices, KaMin is committed to maintaining a proven culture of safety excellence. In fact, safety is at the core of our values. Our people are our #1 asset, so we've dedicated ourselves to protecting our employees and the environment during all stages of the mining and manufacturing process.

KaMin continues to be recognized globally as a leader in safe mining practices, receiving top safety honors and awards from national and international mining associations like the Georgia Mining Association (GMA), Georgia Department of Labor, US Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), and the International Minerals Association (IMA).
